The North Wales Philharmonic Orchestra is a new community orchestra based in the beautiful county of Conwy.
The aim of the orchestra is:
"To advance, improve and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals"
To that end, we aim to give a series of classical concerts each year consisting of the music of the great composers and when possible to engage solo artists to perform the great concertos.
Despite Wales being the land of music and song, there are currently no permanent community orchestras in the counties of Ynys Mon, Gwynedd, Conwy or Denbighshire. We aim to fill that gap.
As a community orchestra, we welcome players of all ages from 14 to 114. If you would like to join us, please visit the membership page.
If you don't play an instrument yourself, but would like to help us in other ways, such as becoming a friend of the orchestra or a sponsor, please visit our Friends and Sponsors page.
